I’m a 20-something Registered Dietitian and lover of all things food.  I am passionate about experimenting in the kitchen with new food and ingredients.  Luckily my husband, Wayne, is not a picky eater!  I believe in balanced eating and everything in moderation, but I will not deny that I’ve always had some “food issues,” and I definitely don’t eat perfectly all the time!

I started this blog in July 2009 as strictly a recipe blog.  Over time, I started to come across many types of amazing blogs that all had different points of view.  They ranged from vegan, to weight loss blogs, to food-diary style, to simply “life” blogs.  I quickly realized that I didn’t have to limit myself to only recipes, so my blog soon evolved into a combination of the food I eat, recipes, life stuff, cat stories (I LOVE MY SON!), and just plain randomness

Most recently, Mr. WannaBe got an amazing promotion which required us to re-locate to Minnesota in March 2010.  We’re now about 10.5 hours away from our home state of Michigan (that neither of us has ever lived out of!).  I am not the adventurous type and have never had the desire to move away, but I’m trying my best to get used to living in a new place!  To any bloggers in the Twin Cities area, hit me up!

    Hi! Wayne gave me your blog address. Great job! Looks like some great recipes to try and great pictures as well. I am a food blog junkie. I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease about 2 years ago so I am always looking for gluten free recipes or recipes I can adapt to make gluten free. I get bored with the same things every week for dinner. I have a husband and 3 kids to cook for, so finding variety is important to me and them. Anyway, I will follow your blog and maybe try some things, thanks!

      Thanks, Starla! I discovered the world of food blogs when I was on theknot.com all the time during wedding planning. I am definitely a junkie too 🙂 Gluten-free has to be one of the toughest diets to follow. Anyway, thanks for stopping by and commenting!!

    Amanda – Just a quick note to tell you what a hit the Best Dang Thing Ever Bars were. I’m sending the dish home with Wayno tonight. Thank you SO much for making them and sending them to work for my birthday. It was so sweet of you. Everyone loved them, but especially ME! With treats like that, I didn’t even mind being a year older 🙂
